Recently, when visiting the beautiful Ire's blog Black and Vanilla, she shared a post about her everyday makeup look. When she told me that she looked forward to me sharing a post about mine, I decided to do so. Though it's not an extravagant look, it gives me just the right touch of coverage I need to feel flawless without having to wear heavy makeup. In short, this is the perfect minimalist look for me.
After cleansing and moisturizing my face, I apply primer. Depending on the weather and how long I plan to be out, I use one of three products (not pictured). In warm weather and all day activities, I prime with Milk of Magnesia. On normal days, I use e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer or MUFE HD Primer. I then apply MAC Face and Body Foundation in C7 on my face and neck. Though this foundation is light and water-based (which makes it a bit runny coming out of the bottle) it does an amazing job of evening out my complexion. Afterwards, I work out my brows with the Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeliner in Black (or Dark Brown). For the fading dark spots I have on my chin and cheek, I stipple on a light application of Graftobian HD Glamour Creme Foundation in Midnight Marigold. This is perfect for covering any scars one may have, though it's widely used for a full coverage foundation. I then lightly dust my face with e.l.f. Studio HD Powder (not pictured) and apply a flush of the MAC Powder Blush in Bite of an Apple on my cheeks. After applying my blush, I apply Avon Superextend Mascara in Black Topaz to my lashes and add a bit of the Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeliner to the outer corners of my waterline. To finish up my look, I add a light application of Avon Light Reflecting Lipgloss in Rose Hues to my lips. Surprisingly, this process only takes about five to seven minutes!
