7 Days of Love | Sexy Date Night Look

Today marks Day 5 of our "7 Days of Love" collaboration. If today is your first day on the blog, the "7 Days of Love" is a week-long collaboration between The Green Eyed Lady BlogBaby TeemsThe Chic SAHM and myself. Since Saturday we've been blogging about love and romance per 7 given prompts. And it's been so much fun blogging with them these last 5 days! Today's prompt asks us to create a sexy date night look. Here goes nothing!

Now I will begin the process of sharing my look my giving you the two required items of the look. Hubby gets excited about date night when he sees me apply my MAC Ruby Woo matte red lipstick and slide my signature red flower in my hair. I can see his "eyes beamin' like 4 carats a piece" as he watches me get ready in the bathroom mirror. And since he likes long, curly hair, I try to wear it like that for him quite often. Here's a quick selfie from our last little outing.

And since it's Valentine's Day, I have to wear a little red to celebrate the occasion. Either that, or I'm just matching everything to my lipstick. How many of you ladies match your wardrobe to your makeup look? I wasn't sure if I'd rather wear a faux-leather pant for the occasion or a LBD (as I am in dire need of a new one) so I decided to share two looks and let you guys be the judge.

Black White and Red All Over

Valentine's Day | Date Night Look
While I  know I'm playing it safe with the first option, I still love the choice. You may recall this look from my Fall Lookbook. It's simple, yet sexy. The patterned blouse is definitely attention-grabbing and the faux-leather pants are slimming and make my legs look longer. The second option, however, is what I think hubby would like best. He likes it when I wear dresses, though I don't wear them often. If we get the opportunity to squeeze some fine-dining in this weekend, my look will most likely be inspired by look #2.

And since I'm one for details, I might do my nails for the occasion as well. Last year, I did this Valentine's Day mani. I simply made two dots with a dotting tool and pulled the dots downward until they connected. Easy peasy, right?
