Celebrity-Inspired Beauty | Meagan Good

Today on the blog, I've created a simple every-day celebrity inspired beauty set for you guys. This look features one of my favorite actresses, Meagan Good. Here, Meagan is rocking a nice, natural dewy face with a beautiful cat-eye and her signature defined brows. Below the jump, I will share some favorites (along with suggested dupes) to help you create this look for yourself at home!

This look is about playing up your favorite features for a nice, natural look. Meagan Good focuses solely on playing up her eyes, which is also my favorite facial feature to accentuate. With a beautiful cat-eye, defined brows, glowing skin, and a moisturized pout, you too can recreate this look with ease.

Prepare for your look with a clean, moisturized, and primed face.
To keep the dewy look intact, I'd suggest that the primer NOT be mattifying.

  1. Eyebrows frame the face and are usually the first thing people notice about you--so I always start my makeup routine by defining them. Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Definer is a great tool to use for precision like Meagan's. It has a triangular tip that allows you to define the shape of your brows, while the thick base makes it a breeze to fill in brows with the quickness.
  2. Next, we're gonna add just a little dimension to the eyes. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Romance Palette shown above has the perfect champagne-colored shimmer (Primavera) to apply to your lid and tear duct to make your eyes pop. It also has a beautiful matte brown (Cyprus Umber) you will next blend into to your crease to give your eyes definition. But if you don't have this palette, don't fret-- The Maybelline Blushed Nudes and NYX Adorable palettes contain similar shades that will create the same look for less!
  3. To further define your eyes, line the upper lash line with Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Eyeliner. Follow up by lining the outer rim of my bottom lash line (instead of the entire bottom lash line) as well. Any precise liquid liner will do the trick-- just make sure it's waterproof and draws smoothly!
  4. To give your lashes full intensity without adding falsies, apply Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. This mascara's formula is collagen-fueled and gives you the most full, dramatic eyelashes ever!
  5. Now moving along to the face, the first product I apply is a light touch of MAC Select Cover Up over any dark circles/spots.
  6. If you still feel like you need a little coverage to even out your skin tone, use a light, water-based foundation like MAC Face and Body.  Buff just a little bit (as a little goes a LONG way) into your skin with your favorite stippling brush. It will give you a nice, dewy finish. (Learn more about this favorite by checking out my "Every Day Makeup For Women on the Go" Post.)
  7. Set your concealer (and or foundation) with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural or MAC Blot Powder. The object of the game is to look nice and dewy, not greasy. And both of these products will help keep the oil at bay.
  8. To finish up the look,  add an lip balm with SPF like Bobbi Brown Lip Balm to the lips. And if you're like me, you might want to go ahead and touch that up with your favorite neutral "lips but better" lippie.
Now you have a simple celebrity-inspired everyday look!
