Natural Fall Makeup with Believe Beauty

Fall is officially here, ladies and gentlemen! And I, for one, am so excited about it. As much as I love packing away my warm weather clothing for apparel suited for cooler temps, I get more hype about updating my makeup bag. This means swapping my BB cream and tinted moisturizer for foundation, using darker, deeper eyeshadows, and pulling my nude, wine, and berry colored lipsticks out. And if you're like me and love taking long walks down the beauty aisle, updating that makeup bag can become expensive if you're not careful.

That's why I've recently gotten familiar with the Believe Beauty line that launched this Spring in Dollar General. This line has quality, cruelty-free cosmetics with each item retailing for $5 or less. And it has everything from lipsticks, base products, and eye makeup on down to nail polish and beauty tools. Does that make your beauty-loving heart as happy as it does mine?

Since I've been grabbing for said Believe Beauty products exclusively at Dollar General so much lately, I decided I would not only share the products but the look I achieve while using them. Read more below to check out each step I took and each Believe Beauty product used for this easy look.

I usually start with my brows when doing my makeup. I lightly outline the shape of my brows with a defining kohl eyebrow pencil and fill in any sparse areas with a dark brown felt tip eyebrow pen.

After priming my eyelids, I use my Believe Beauty Eyeshadow Palette in Nearly Nude and apply a quick eyeshadow look. I just add the shimmery mauve shade (top, middle) on my lid and blend the deep burgundy shade (bottom, middle) into my crease. Afterwards, I define my eye with a precise felt tip liquid eyeliner, lightly apply nude eyeliner to my lower lashline (to make my eyes pop), and top it all off with a volumizing mascara.

I was pleasantly surprised by these eyeshadows because they were so pigmented and easy to blend. Sometimes eyeshadows with lower price points can lean on the messy, chalky side, but these do not!

For my face, I start by priming with Believe Beauty Pretty and Primed Stay-Put Makeup Primer. I always make sure to pay close attention to my cheeks, as that's where my pores show up most. Then I apply Believe Beauty You're Covered Liquid Concealer in Sand to my dark spots and under-eye area. While this concealer is pretty sheer, just a couple of dabs from the doe-foot applicator seems to do the trick!

Next, I stipple Believe Beauty Skin Finish Foundation in Hazelnut on my forehead, cheeks, and chin, then blended, blended, blended with the Believe Beauty Foundation Brush. This liquid foundation is medium to full coverage, but doesn't take much building to become full coverage. And with the help of this brush, my foundation application is a smooth, even one.

So that all my beautiful foundation work isn't compromised throughout the day, I set it with Believe Beauty Matte Blur Loose Powder in Medium/Deep. It does a good job of making my foundation stay put for hours, y'all. Then to complete the look, I added a light-handed highlight above my cheekbone and under my brow bone with Believe Beauty Radiant Finish Highlighter in Good Vibes. And while it does have this pretty champagne-pearl iridescence to it, I feel like I'll have to apply more on my cheekbones to make it pop (especially in pictures).

And for the final touch of this look, I swipe Believe Beauty Satin Crush Lipstick in Vintage Romance onto my lips. Vintage Romance is a mauve-rose "lips but better" shade that I feel works for any occasion. But since it didn't give me the full, glossy look I was going for, I apply the pretty peachy nude Believe Beauty Lustrous Shine Lip Gloss in Georgia Peach on top. Both of these lip products combined did a great job of disguising how dark my bottom lip actually looks without lipstick (gasp!) and are quite moisturizing. If flavored lip products are not your thing, I will say you are in luck with these products because they absolutely have no flavor or smell.

So far, I'm loving all of the products I've used here. With the exception of my lashes and brows, I am able to achieve a full makeup look with each product being $5 or less. However, in the coming weeks I am looking forward to trying the Believe Beauty Gel to Powder Eyeshadow Glimmer Pots, as well as eyeliners, mascaras, and brow products. And while my foundation seems to have yellow undertones when I look at it indoors, it appears more red when I am outside. I might grab up another foundation shade or two to see if I find a better fit.

Will you be updating your makeup bag for the fall? If you are looking for suggestions, I recommend giving these products from Believe Beauty a try. With primers for different skin types, foundations in several shades, accompanying brushes, and quality eye, lip, and nail products, I'd say there's a little something in this line for everybody. Besides, with prices like these (and a Dollar General only a few miles from my house) please believe I will be trying more products this season and giving you all the scoop here on my blog and social media.
