Skincare To Try: Pixi Glow Tonic Collection

If you've been here for a while, it's no secret that I'm all about that GLOW life. One of my main beauty + personal care goals is achieving blemish-free, glowing skin. And because of this goal, I've tried more than a few skincare products over the years. Since being introduced to Pixi Skintreats by way of the cult favorite Glow Tonic a few years ago, however, I am happy to say that I have added a few more "glow-boosting" goodies to my arsenal.

With the growing popularity of the Glow Tonic, Pixi recently launched an entire skincare collection centered around the product. So you know your girl was over-the-moon hype (per usual) when Pixi sent me a package containing said collection earlier this summer!

The main reason I was so excited about the Glow Tonic Collection is that while I love using Glow Tonic, I've longed to use an entire skincare line that works toward my singular goal of having radiant, glowing skin. I didn't want to continuously purchase a cleanser from one brand, hunt for a moisturizer from another brand, and settle for a serum from an entirely different brand just to build a regimen that works for me. Read below to find out how I've incorporated each product from the collection into my skincare regimen.

Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel is a lightweight gel cleanser formulated with Glycolic Acid that gives you just a bit of exfoliation while cleansing. Don't let the fact that it doesn't foam cause you to get heavy-handed with the gel because a little goes a long way! And while I'm used to cleansers that foam, this one here gets the job done. My face feels squeaky clean without feeling drying afterwards. Now if I could just get over the powdery mature woman perfume fragrance it has. If you aren't a fan of strong scents, this one may not be a fit for you. However, I think the way my skin feels smooth afterwards makes it worth it. I do believe the aloe in the formula has a lot to do with how soothing this cleanser is. Try it for yourself by purchasing online here or from your local Target for $18.

Pixi Glow Tonic is my favorite Pixi product and for good reason. It's the first toner I ever found that didn't contain alcohol nor was drying to my face. Formulated with Ginseng, 5% Glycolic Acid, and Aloe, Glow Tonic gently exfoliates without irritating the skin, increasing your glow factor. I always use this toner directly after cleansing my skin with the Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel. And for my friends with dry or sensitive skin, this toner is suitable for you, too! However, if you have sensitive skin, you may experience slight tingling when using. Shop Glow Tonic from your local Target or online here for $15.

Pixi pHenomenal Gel is one of the most effective moisturizers I've used in a while. It's a lightweight gel with a thin consistency that's perfect for my oily skin. It doesn't feel heavy and balances my skin perfectly under my makeup and without makeup. I just love that I can apply this after toner to complete my daytime skincare routine and my skin looks so smooth and hydrated! If you have oily skin like me, you know there's a fine line between skin looking hydrated and skin looking like it needs blotting powder. But Pixi pHenomenal Gel holds me down without making me look like an oil slick, y'all. For serious. Try it for yourself by purchasing from your local Target or online here for $24.

Pixi Glow Tonic Serum is the product I was most excited about trying in the Pixi Glow Tonic Collection. There's something about an effective serum that will change your life, ladies and gentlemen! I love the idea that I can finish my nightly skincare routine with a serum that promises to give me radiant skin in the morning. But there are times when that dream doesn't materialize when I wake up. Fortunately for me, the Glow Tonic Serum delivers. After using this serum at night after toning, I wake up to soft, glowing skin that blows my mind every time. And I've only been using it for about a month. Serums usually take 4-6 weeks before any results can be seen, but I saw an improvement in my skin's texture within a week of using Glow Tonic Serum. One word of caution, though-- a little serum goes a long way. If you use more than two or three drops, as it can be a bit tacky from the dropper, you will wake up looking super greasy. You can purchase it for $24 here.

Pixi On-the-Glow Multi-Use Moisture Stick might be my least favorite product in the bunch. For one, I found everything I needed in a regimen with the four products listed prior. Another thing is I found it awkward applying this moisturizer from the tube, as it reminded me of deodorant. While it might not be a product I'm happy with applying to my face on the daily, I have found it useful for on-the-go moisture to my elbows, knees, and ankles when I'm out and about. The moisture stick runs for $18 and can be found here.

For the most part, I'm a fan of the Pixi Glow Tonic Collection. Most of the products have already become a part of my summer skincare regimen and I am pleased with the results I've gotten so far. The Glow Tonic Collection promises radiant, hydrated, and refreshed skin, and I do believe it delivers. I'm already making plans to replace a couple of these products, as I am soon to run out! To try these products for yourself, be sure to visit pixibeauty.com or your local Target stores.
