How do you attend to your skincare needs as the seasons change? Does the change in seasons even affect your skincare routine? As someone with oily skin throughout the year, I usually stick to my core products. I will, however, add or remove serums or moisturizers according to my skincare concerns. And though I may switch one product for another, or try a new product or line every now and again, there are some products that hold permanent spots in my skincare stash no matter the season.

Today, I'm sharing my current regimen and rotation of products with you guys. While I have oily skin, my t-zone is oilier in the warmer months and fairly dry in the winter months.  So, I make sure to keep my skin hydrated as much as possible these days. My biggest skin concerns are currently keeping my skin radiant and correcting my hyperpigmentation . Through this regimen, I've been able to take care of these issues quite well. Read below to check out the full details of my current skin care regimen.

The Products

1. CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin- This cleanser contains ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid, which help protect the skin's moisture barrier without clogging the pores. It makes my skin feels so smooth after using it!

2. Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater Facial Toner- This is one of the best toners I've ever used in my life. It balances my skin without stripping it with harsh ingredients or alcohol.

3. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%- This serum has changed my skin so much over the last year. More than anything, it has improved my texture so much!

4. Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream- if you're looking for a lightweight moisturizer that moisturizes oily skin without feeling heavy, give this a try. It contains 80% snail secretion, which aids in hydration + skin regeneration and promotes collagen production. Leaves my skin soft and hydrated with just a little product. Plus the packaging is the cutest!

5. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion Sunscreen- I love that this sunscreen is effective, affordable, easy to find in stores, and (most importantly) doesn't create a white cast on my face. It holds me down during warm summer months on the beach and cool winter nights outdoors. I have bought it over and over again!

The Regimen

Every morning: I cleanse with CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin. Using just my fingers, I thoroughly massage the cleanser into my skin for about 60 seconds using the 60 second rule I learned from LaBeautyologist. This cleanser leaves my face feeling clean and refreshed, unlike others formulated for oily skin, that leave it feeling dry and stripped.

Then, I balance my skin by using Heritage Store Rose Petals Rosewater Facial Toner. I apply a few drops to a cotton disk and massage it into my skin all over my face and neck. On occasion, I switch between this toner and Pixi Glow Tonic, depending on my skin's needs.

After cleansing and moisturizing, I apply about 4 drops of The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (High Strength Vitamin & Mineral) Formula all over my face and neck.

Once I let this settle into my skin for a few minutes, I apply the Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream into my skin in a thin layer. I always take a moment between steps to give the products time to penetrate.

I wrap up my routine by applying a few drops of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen (SPF 30) on my face, neck and decolletage. I never skip this step in my morning skincare routine, whether I plan to leave the house or not.

As you may see here on the blog or through my Instagram, I do try different products from time-to-time. However, these are usually the base products I purchase for skincare. With the exception of the Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream, each of these items can be found at the local drugstore. However, if you're anything like me and love your products to meet you at your doorstep, all of these items can be purchased on Amazon. Just click the name of each product you wish to buy and add it to your cart!
