Fall Style Inspiration | Casual Weekend Wear

When you live in a state that has weather as temperamental as North Carolina, you can't tell what the weather will feel like from one moment to the next! One day it will feel like spring has made its landing, slight breeze and sunny skies covering everything. The next day, however, will feel like late fall vibes with a wind chill creeping up on you like an uninvited guest. This means you and your style must be prepared for either of these extremes.

This week has been our introduction to cold weather this fall. The winds have been disrespectful, the temps have been in the 40s, and the rainshowers have been showing up and out. And according to weather reports, we are in for some chilly winds this weekend. On weekends like this, it's ideal to  dress cool, comfortably, and preferably in layers just in case. And to me, nothing says cool and comfortable in the fall quite like a plaid button-up, a trendy jacket, and booties.

As a fan of plaid and patterns, I could wear plaid button-ups throughout the seasons. But navy, burgundy, and green colored stripes are perfect for my fall fashion color palette. All you need is a nice, warm jacket, figure-flattering dark denim jeans, and trendy booties to set this look off! I would complete my look with a navy beanie covering the back of my tapered hair cut, my signature hoop earrings, and a large bag to keep my makeup bag and other daily essentials in. Adding finishing touches such as a signature fall lipstick, nail polish, and fragrance are what really make this fall style formula your own.

I would rock this look anywhere, as it is comfortable, yet well put together. I might go to date night with this look, hang out with the girls, movie night with the kids, or visit family and friends. The booties, bag, and watch definitely give this style formula a more polished look than my (usual) favorite sneakers or t-shirt probably would. What do you think?

Would you rock this look?
If so, where ?
