In Love With:  Rainbow on black-ish and every rich, beautiful shade of lipstick she wears. Just when I thought last season's lipstick game was on point, she blows my mind with the beautiful berry and wine hues of puckered-up perfection she's delivered this season. Don't get me wrong, I really adore the show and all of the crucial lessons the cast, producers, directors and writers are sharing with the audience. But I really wish you guys would consider adding Rainbow's lipstick of choice to the ending credits so I won't have to take screenshots and play the guessing game when I scan my lippie stash. I'm reaching, I know.

Obsessing over:  Creating a Thanksgiving Dinner menu in a week's time. I usually make a traditional dinner with the bird and all the fixings--- you know, greens, mac and cheese, stuffing and the like. But this year I want to make a non-traditional dinner. I'm thinking pastas and a bunch of savory goodies I probably don't need in the first place. Do you make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner around your way? What is your menu looking like?

Working On: Making an editorial calendar for the blog and staying consistent with it. That's right-- I'm making greater strides to create quality content for the blog more regularly. It seems like my creative juices have been in overdrive lately and I just want to make sure that I'm sharing most of that here in a way that stays true to the brand. And I have some more cool things in store for you guys that I will be speaking more about in the upcoming weeks. I can't wait to share!

Reading: Last month I wrapped up Some Sing, Some Cry by Ntozake Shange and I am still basking in the afterglow, it seems. Every time I begin the pages of a new fiction read, I start thinking about Lizzy and wonder how Paris is treating her. I thank Didi over at Brown Girl Reading for hosting this group read. Surprisingly, I read SSSC in a few weeks--and probably would have finished sooner had it not been for group pacing. So for now, I'm wrapping up The Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer and My So Called Freelance Life by Michelle Goodman. I'll look into picking up another fiction read in December. Has anyone created their 2016 TBR List yet?

Watching:  ...way too much television! Right now I'm glued to the screen on Monday nights watching Black Ink: Chicago on VH1 and Follow The Rules on MTV.  I must say, I really enjoy watching Ja Rule and his family. And you know my Tuesday night wind-down is accompanied by my girl Mary Jane, of course. On Wednesday nights, I have to take advantage of the DVR because I can't miss black-ish on ABC or Empire on FOX. And on Friday, babygirl always reminds me to record Lifetime's Step it Up on Fridays because we love bonding over Traci Young-Byron and her awesome dance company on the weekends. As you can see, I'm a sucker for this season's shows.

Listening to:  Maybe by Alina Baraz & Galimatias on repeat. Yes, it's THAT serious. Check it out here if you haven't already. Much love to BMJ for the introduction!

Over the Moon About: ....the approaching basketball season. Gab and Core are both playing basketball again this season. I think hubby and I might be more excited about it than they are! I can't wait to attend their games and cheer them on in the bleachers! I pray they have an awesome season.

Wanting: ...to cut my hair again, thanks to Pinterest. Every time I log on, I am tempted by a blunt bob or a color-rich short, cropped cut. And as much as I want to grow my hair out, looking at these pictures make me want to go back to that "short hair, don't care" life. Perhaps I will look into finding a stylist that could help me keep one of these cute styles up. And if not, I will have to continue to rock short wigs and weaves when the mood hits and dream on.

Needing: ..help with organizing my life. Or organizing my home. It seems like once I have a good system going with keeping things organized in one room, another room has gone haywire. Swapping out everyone's summer gear for winter gear this week has been a task, but it definitely showed me that my organization skills could use a bit of improvement.

Dreaming Of: Date night with the hubby. I am so looking forward to spending some much-needed quality time with him over the holiday season and I know he is, too!
